HMS Minion is a wreck 12 miles south of Brighton in the English Channel. She was an M-class destroyer launched in September 1915, of 1,025 tons and 276 ft (84 m) with a beam of 26 ft (8 m). The M class carried three 4-inch guns, one 2-pounder pom-pom and four 21-inch torpedo tubes in pairs, and her top speed was 34 knots. She was lost while under tow to the ship breakers.
She rests on an even keel in 46 m, with the bows pointing east and the stern disappearing into sand dunes. The decks are fairly open, with big holes and areas to explore. Large round holes on the deck mark where the gun turrets used to be, and these give access to the engine room.
This is a technical depth and an excellent dive.
