The House Reef is the closest dive site to the base on Buka Buka Island in the Togean Islands, five minutes from the jetty, with depths from 5 to 18 metres. It suits beginners and is good for training, night dives and macro photography.
The reef can be reached from the beach for snorkelling, with good coral and fish life in shallow water. Access depends on the tide, by swimming at high tide or from the dedicated jetty at low tide. The reef drops away as a wall, and there is no current.
