Punta Vicente Roca is a wall dive site on the northern tip of Isabela Island, the largest island in the Galápagos archipelago. The point takes its name from a distinctive seahorse-shaped geological formation visible from space, and the dive features a dark cave beneath a striking arch. The site is accessible by boat and is rated suitable for beginners holding at least an Open Water certification.
The wall drops to 27 m (89 ft) at its deepest, offering classic wall diving relief with steep drop-offs to be aware of. The site is protected from ocean swells, keeping currents smooth, though the water runs cold due to upwelling currents that also bring penguins and large pelagics to the area. Visibility ranges from 10 to 20 m (33 to 64 ft).
Punta Vicente Roca is considered the prime Galápagos location to observe Mola mola (ocean sunfish), which appear alongside Galápagos penguins, pufferfish, seahorses, sharks, whales, dolphins, Galápagos sea lions, Galápagos fur seals, Galápagos flightless cormorants, blue-footed boobies, tuna, and nudibranchs. The best season for diving the site runs from July through December.
