Puntod (also written Pungtud) is a wall dive site located at the westernmost point of Panglao Island, positioned in front of a mangrove forest, roughly 6 km (3.7 miles) from Alona Beach and about 20 minutes by speedboat. The wall begins shallow at around 4 m and drops to 25 m, where it transitions to a sandy slope that continues deeper. The upper sections of the wall are covered in large gorgonian fans, corals, and sponges, while the deeper portions open into more open-water territory.
Marine life at Puntod spans both small critters and larger species. The wall hosts soft corals, sea whips, sponges, nudibranchs, lionfish, and anthias in its shallower reaches. Schools of yellow snapper gather in the deeper water, and barracuda, frogfish, pufferfish, eagle rays, and scorpionfish are regularly encountered. Reef sharks and tuna have also been reported patrolling the deeper sections of the wall.
The site is rated for intermediate divers, and its excellent visibility and generally calm conditions suit that level well. It is also noted as a suitable site for advanced nitrox diving given the depth profile. Access is by boat, with the ride taking approximately 20–25 minutes.
