Reethi Thila, also commonly known as Five Rocks, is an underwater pinnacle located between the islands of Dhangethi and Dhigurah in the Maldives, reached by a 25-minute boat ride. The site is formed by five separate small rocks submerged to create a single pinnacle structure, with every passage between the rocks opening onto new sections of reef covered in magnificent corals.
The pinnacle is draped in vibrant sea fans, elegant whip corals, and anemones, providing habitat for a wide range of species. Shoals of fusiliers, jackfish, and great barracudas move through the water column, while oriental sweetlips, scorpion fish, and nudibranchs inhabit the reef itself. Whitetip reef sharks and grey reef sharks are also regularly encountered at this site, along with triggerfish and surgeon fish.
The site is suitable for both snorkelling and scuba diving and is rated appropriate for beginners, making it accessible to a wide range of experience levels.
