About this site
Rick's Reef lies slightly north of the Canyon dive site and is a shore dive rated easy, open to Open Water divers. When a mild current is running it makes a perfect drift dive toward the lagoon of the Canyon. It is a relaxed dive and excellent for photography.
A sloping coral garden stretches from the entry to the fishbowl of the Canyon and beyond, and snorkelers can follow the divers' bubbles. Sandy plateau patches with coral heads hold octopus, scorpionfish, morays, schools of Red Sea goatfish and fusiliers. Bluespotted stingrays rest on the sandy bottom, and Napoleon wrasse can surprise you from the blue.
