Rock Point East is a coral reef dive site at Apo Island in the Philippines, typically dived as the starting point of a drift that continues toward Rock Point West. The reef features a steep slope covered in both hard and soft corals, giving the dive a colourful, dense character from top to bottom.
The maximum depth reaches 24 m, with the terrain dominated by the coral-encrusted slope. Depending on current conditions, the dive can be run as a drift.
The site rewards slow searching along the slope: frogfish, banded sea snakes, nudibranchs, and octopus are regularly spotted, along with colourful reef fish throughout the dive.
Water temperature sits at 28–29°C and visibility is good. Current is medium on average but variable; conditions dictate whether a drift dive is possible. The site is rated for beginners. Sea snakes are present and should be treated as a hazard — give them space. The main season runs October to May, though the site can be dived year-round.
