Shallow Turbo is a drift dive on the north-east side of Gili Trawangan, the shallow end of the Deep Turbo site. A sandy bottom is dotted with coral heads, and the channels and fields pass by on the drift, with the BioRocks along the way. Depth averages around 18 m (60 feet) with water of 27 to 30 C. It suits all levels, and is good for night dives.
Turtles are plentiful and fish schools are common. Pufferfish, batfish, garden eels and unicorn fish are regular sightings, and with luck scorpionfish, trumpetfish and ornate ghost pipefish turn up. The weather is most reliable from about March to October.
