Dived here today? How were conditions vs. what we showed?
Shark Point is a sheltered bay dive, described as almost a house reef, offering calm and accessible conditions close to the shore. The site is dominated by staghorn coral and features rich hard coral coverage alongside abundant anemonefish, damselfish, and a variety of reef fish and marine critters. Black tip reef sharks cruise the shallows, and turtles, filefish, and razorfish are regularly encountered here.
The calm water and close proximity to shore make Shark Point a favoured site for night dives, and it can also be dived as a drift, allowing the current to pull divers around the nose of the bay. The relaxed, protected nature of the site suits divers of most experience levels.
