Sprat is a reef dive off St. Thomas in the US Virgin Islands, known for picture frame swim-throughs and billows of coral. It is a beginner dive with an average depth of 40 feet (12 metres) and a maximum of 45 feet (13.7 metres).
The current can run strong, and the site is protected on calm days. Barracudas, sharks and other pelagic fish have been reported here, along with crustaceans and small fish. Sea conditions and the strength of the current decide how the dive goes.
