About this site
Palavas-les-Flots sits on the Mediterranean coast of the Herault department in Occitanie, just south of Montpellier, and Tombant du Large lies offshore from this stretch of coastline, in the open waters where the Gulf of Lions meets the sea. This wall dive reaches a maximum depth of 30 metres and is rated advanced, with divers noting strong current at the site. Divers have also reported common octopus, European common cuttlefish, manta ray, Mediterranean green crab, pink Coryphella, and trevally here.
