Trinity Caves is a boat dive on the wall off the north-west side of Grand Cayman, known for its swim-through tunnels and cavern-like coral formations. It is listed as one of the best-known swim-through sites on the island.
Coral-formed tunnels cut through the reef and open out over the vertical wall. Massive coral arches and openings make cathedral-style passages, and light filters down through the reef into the small caverns. The dive begins around 15 to 18 m, with the dive covering a depth range of about 14 to 30 m, so both the shallow reef structure and the wall are available depending on your certification.
Intermediate and above. The site is popular with underwater photographers because of the light in the tunnels.
Along this stretch of wall, visibility is often more than 24 m when it is calm. Current varies with wind and direction, from mild to strong.
