Turtle Bommie sits on the Great Barrier Reef off the coast of Queensland, within the reef system reached from the far north Queensland coast near Cairns and Port Douglas. Like other bommies in this part of the reef, it is an isolated coral pinnacle rising from a sandy bottom, dived by boat as part of wider reef excursions. Divers here have reported barracuda, blackback anemonefish, and gigas giant clams on the outcrop.
