Voidokilia is a shore dive in a closed bay on the Ionian coast of Greece, shaped like the Greek capital letter omega. The beach has been voted one of the best in Greece. The dive is suitable for all certification levels and for Discover Scuba Diving.
The dive starts on a shallow sandy bottom. As you leave the bay you reach a big rocky reef, and the underwater rock formations include swim-throughs. The bottom is white sand.
Visibility exceeds 30 m in turquoise water. The reef is home to octopuses, moray eels, lionfish and small groupers, and big schools of fish and rays also turn up.
Duration: because of the topography the dive takes 60 to 70 minutes, so good physical fitness and low air consumption are an advantage.
