The Wee Hawk is a wood and steel steam barge wreck in the St. Lawrence River at Cardinal, Ontario. It is sometimes called the Kitty Hawk by mistake. The hull is about 50 feet (15 m) long and sits in about 22 feet (6.7 m) of water, just west of lock 28 and a quarter mile upstream from the Conestoga. It sank in the 1950s.
Entry is from shore at the closed lock gate just east of the wreck, reached off Highway 2 about half a mile west of Cardinal. The area around lock 28 makes a good picnic spot and has what dive training sites need, and the wreck is rated novice.
It is not an attractive dive. The bottom is silt that churns up very easily, and visibility is poor, around 10 to 15 feet (3 to 4.5 m). Penetration should not be tried without considerable training and experience.
