About this site
Air Wall is a wall dive off the west side of Gili Air, about 15 minutes by boat. The dive starts on a slope with coral bommies and finishes at the wall, which starts at around 8 metres and drops to about 30 metres. It suits all levels.
The wall carries many soft corals and gorgonians. Turtles, nudibranchs, scorpionfish and cuttlefish are seen, and whitetip reef sharks can turn up at the bottom.
The current is medium to strong, which makes it a fun and somewhat challenging drift dive. A venomous blue-ringed octopus has been found on the slope on top of the wall at 7 to 8 metres. It is under 20 cm and almost invisible when still, so do not touch anything.
