About this site
Anchor is a reef at Ponta Malongane in southern Mozambique, listed at 22 metres. It takes its name from the anchor lying at the southern end of Kev's Ledge, and the dive is rated advanced.
Two parallel ledges run along the reef and carry a wide variety of reef fish. Game fish pass by, turtles sleep under the ledges, and colourful nudibranchs are found here. Butterfly fish, batfish, damsels, anemone fish and trumpet fish are resident.
Starfish and feather stars share the reef with small plants, seaweeds, sponges, whip coral, soft corals and anemones.
