Black Coral Garden is a reef dive site on the western side of Pulau Lima, a small islet within the Redang Marine Park, Malaysia. The site is noted for its large fields of soft anemones and other soft corals, and sits within waters that represent a cross-section of the full range of marine environments found across the Redang park.
The reef reaches a maximum depth of 33.5 m with a bottom type of reef, offering varied terrain consistent with the broader Pulau Lima area. Notable marine life at the site includes black corals, sea fans, sea whips, harp corals, nudibranchs, octopus, pipefish, and soft anemone fields, alongside the possibility of encounters with dolphins, monk seals, mantas, and sharks.
Conditions at Black Coral Garden are best between April and October, with water temperatures ranging from 27 to 31.5°C and generally great visibility. Strong currents are the primary hazard, and the site is rated as advanced level diving. The site is easily accessible from the resorts at Pasir Panjang on Pulau Redang.
