The Bristol Beaufighter is a World War II multi-role aircraft, developed by the Bristol Aeroplane Company in the UK, that was shot down in 1943 after having bombed the German airport on Paros, Greece, and now rests on the seabed at 33 metres. The aircraft is well preserved, with its escape hatch still open, allowing divers to explore the airframe up close within a bottom time of around 10 minutes at depth.
Large sponges have colonised the wreck and grow across the structure, adding to the visual interest of the dive. The maximum depth reaches 34 metres, making this a site suited to Advanced divers or above.
Dive time runs to around 35 minutes, and the site is diveable year-round with water temperatures ranging from 14 to 26 °C, good visibility, and light current conditions.
