Butterfly Rock is a shallow dive site among the reefs of Trincomalee in Sri Lanka, and it is known for its colourful coral gardens. The rocky site reaches a depth of about 12 metres and is graded beginner.
Divers can find reef fish, nudibranchs and a range of smaller marine creatures among the corals. Its shallow depth leaves plenty of time to look closely at the coral gardens.
