Cerebros is a shallow reef on the northern side of Playa del Carmen, dived at roughly 10 to 13 metres with little current. It is graded simple, and water temperatures sit between 26 and 29 °C through the year.
Visibility is good, and the reef is easy going. Divers have reported moray eels, lobsters, shrimps, crabs, reef fish and rays here, which gives the dive plenty to look at despite the modest depth.
Confirmed by our research team, reported by independent divers, or observed nearby via iNaturalist — each entry is labelled with its source.
