Cuverville Island sits in the Errera Channel off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula, between Rongé Island and the mainland. It is a low, rocky island known on the surface for its gentoo penguin colony, and diving here is done from expedition vessels in cold, remote conditions. Divers in the area have reported leopard seals and Weddell seals around the island, drawn by the same waters that support the penguin colony above.
