About this site
German Channel is a renowned manta ray cleaning station in Palau, sitting at depths of 15–25 m over a sandy bottom. Mantas gather here in numbers, circling slowly while cleaner wrasse attend them at the cleaning stations; the site's peak season runs from November through March.
Even outside manta season, German Channel holds solid activity: sharks, turtles, wrasse, and large schools of fish are regular presences throughout the year.
Visibility ranges from 8–25 m and current is generally mild, making the site accessible to Open Water-certified divers. The dive is rated beginner-friendly, though conditions can vary with current and season.
