Hin Rua Tek

Hin Rua Tek, also called Banana Rock, is a small rocky outcrop in the channel between Bang Bao and nearby Koh Klum in the Koh Chang area of Thailand. It is a quick 20 minute boat ride from the start point and is less visited than nearby sites.

Like Hin Raap South and Hin Luk Bat, it has a steep sloping wall onto a flat sandy bottom, with depths to about 18 metres. There are decent canyons and large granite formations to swim through or around. A dive may involve a swim around the entire island, or more time on one side depending on current and visibility, which is often limited here, with a range of 5 to 15 metres reported.

A broad range of healthy corals, including increasingly longer spiral coral. Fish include stingrays, lionfish, pufferfish, nudibranchs and schools of tropical fish, with occasional rays.
