Jellyfish Lake is a marine lake on Eil Malk Island, Palau, that has evolved as an isolated ecosystem supporting millions of jellyfish cut off from the open ocean. The lake is home to both golden jellyfish and moon jellyfish, neither of which possesses a stinger, making them completely harmless to swimmers. The jellyfish migrate daily across the lake, following the path of the sun.
Snorkeling is the recommended way to experience the lake rather than scuba diving, and the site is suited to beginners. Visitors swim directly among the jellyfish in the lake's waters.
Jellyfish Lake is a stop on the East Route through Palau's Rock Islands, typically visited by boat alongside sites such as Milky Way, Shark City, Clam City, and Mermaid Channel. Entry to the Rock Islands requires a marine permit.
