Limbo Gapang is an underwater seamount (sea mound) located a two-minute boat ride from Gapang Beach, Pulau Weh, Indonesia. The summit of the mound sits at 7 m, rising from deeper water to form a plateau, with the surrounding reef reaching down to around 25 m.
The terrain features hard corals, rocky relief, and a plateau top that attracts aggregating fish. Schools of barracuda and colorful fusiliers, including blue streak fusiliers, regularly patrol the structure, alongside sleek unicorn fish and red tooth triggerfish. Spotted stingrays and moray eels are resident, anemones sway across the reef, and octopus and cuttlefish are frequently encountered, particularly in the late afternoon. Nudibranchs are also regularly spotted on the site.
Entry is by boat, and the site is typically dived in the late afternoon or around sunset, which brings out cephalopods and other nocturnal animals. Water temperature runs 28–29 °C year-round, and visibility is generally good. Currents are not highlighted as an issue here, making it accessible to beginner divers.
