About this site
Mariane Pak Hq is a reef dive site off Redang Island, part of the Redang marine park cluster off the Terengganu coast in Malaysia's South China Sea waters. It is reached by boat from the resorts on Redang or from the mainland jetties at Merang or Kuala Terengganu, and the site is rated a beginner dive, making it accessible for divers early in their training or with limited experience. Divers have reported bubble coral and greenfish sea cucumber on the reef here, along with ocellaris anemonefish sheltering among the anemones. Coi's goniobranchus and varicose wart slug nudibranchs have also been spotted, rewarding those who take the time to look closely along the bottom.
