About this site
Paradise is a reef and drop-off dive in front of a hotel on the Sharm el Sheikh coast, one of the top sites between Tower and Ras Umm Sid. It is rated Diver Level 2 and is usually dived as a drift, and you can spot it by Cleopatra's needle on the shore.
Large coral pinnacles border the drop-off, and the slope falls away to 50 metres. They hold a variety of fish, and the shallow areas have caves and overhangs and a large population of glassfish. Look out into the blue for trevallies and tuna, turtles and manta rays.
The current can be strong, and the water runs 21 to 27 degrees Celsius through the year.
