Paraiso

Paraiso is a dive site on the west side of Maejima Island in the Kerama Islands, Okinawa, known for its beautiful shallow coral reefs and a vast white sandy bottom in the offshore southern area. The maximum depth is 16.5 m, with an average diving depth of 8–17 m, and the bottom is sand.

The northern side of the reef sees frequent sea turtle encounters, while a short swim south into the offshore area opens onto the wide sandy flat where, in early summer, the rare wedgefish has been spotted.

Visibility is excellent, rated five stars, and current ranges from none to occasional, allowing divers to explore the whole site at a relaxed pace when conditions are calm. Diving is typically conducted at anchor, though drift diving is possible depending on conditions.
