About this site
Puerto Naos is a reef dive site on the west coast of La Palma, in the Canary Islands. The reef begins at 10 m and drops as a wall down to 40 m, with the terrain shaped by lava flows and scattered rocks that divers can follow or cruise around.
The wall holds black corals in the deeper section, while the shallower areas are good for searching out moray eels; rays appear out in the blue water at various depths. The variety of species encountered across the site makes it worthwhile at any depth.
Puerto Naos is considered suitable for beginners, with light current and great visibility in a protected exposure. Tide needs to be taken into account when planning the dive.
