Ras Abu Galum is a dive site in a national park in the far north of Dahab, Egypt, about 8 km north of the Blue Hole. It can only be reached by camel or by boat. A sandy slope falls away from the shore with a coral reef on both sides. On the left side the reef top drops to a steep wall, where hunting mackerel and tuna are often seen, and there are coral towers and impressive rock formations. The shallows hold schools of colourful reef fish and striking fire coral.
The bay is very sheltered from wind and waves, so it can be dived in any weather. Depths run to 30 m, the current is sometimes present, and snorkelling is possible. Turtles, eagle rays, barracuda and octopuses are also recorded.
