Selinog Island is a marine reserve off Siquijor, declared in 2000 to protect its landscape and seascape. The island has turquoise water, white sand beaches and coconut palms. Dive sites range from a shallow reef flat that is good for macro to steep walls with vast caverns and overhangs and colourful reefs packed with fish.
The island also has one of the best technical dive sites in the area. A large cargo ferry sank in 1987 and now sits at 60 m, reserved for qualified technical divers with wreck diving experience.
Nudibranchs, schooling barracuda and jacks, crayfish, peacock mantis shrimp, frogfish, grouper, snapper, hairy squat lobsters and moray eels are all seen. The best season runs from November to May.
