Seri, also known as Secret Bay, is a shore dive site situated in Gilimanuk Bay in northwest Bali, close to the ferry terminal for Java, diving over a black sand seabed that reaches 10 to 12 metres at its deepest.
The terrain is flat black sand bottom with a maximum depth of 12 metres, making it accessible to beginner divers. The site is also well regarded as a night dive destination.
The sand holds an impressive range of macro subjects, including nudibranchs, Banggai cardinalfish, scorpionfish, dragonets, pipefish, and mimic octopuses, alongside many other invertebrates and colourful fish. The best conditions fall between April and October.
Entry is from shore, and the dive is conducted directly from land rather than by boat.
