Siam Bay is a sheltered reef dive site on the north-west side of Racha Yai Island, near Phuket, Thailand, sitting alongside Bungalow Bay on the island's western flank. The bay is naturally protected, remaining calm even when conditions outside are rough, making it a reliable option when weather limits other sites. Statues were placed in the bay in 2006, including several large elephant sculptures, creating an underwater statue garden that has become a signature attraction of the site.
The terrain is a white sandy bottom with a gentle slope, the reef comprising mainly hard corals including staghorn corals. Depths range from as little as 2 metres down to roughly 25 metres, with typical diving between 10 and 15 metres; the elephant statues sit at around 18 metres. The site suits first-time divers at the shallower end and offers more to explore deeper for those with more experience.
The reef holds a healthy range of marine life. Regulars include lionfish, pufferfish, giant moray eels, blue-spotted stingrays, garden eels, barracuda, fusiliers, nudibranchs, shrimps, snails, anemones, and robust ghost pipefish. Turtles are occasionally seen. Water temperature runs between 27 and 30 °C, and the site can be dived year-round from Phuket, with the November-to-April period representing the main season.
Access is by boat. Current is light and the bay is well sheltered, keeping conditions comfortable. Visibility is generally good, though not always at its peak inside the bay. The easy conditions, shallow entry options, and minimal current make this a strong beginner site, and it is frequently used for first dives and student training.
