Snapper Alley is a shallow reef and sandy-bottom dive site located just south of Breakfast Bend, on the east side of Island 9 in the Similan Islands. The maximum depth is 10.5 m, making it an easy, non-demanding dive suited to beginners. Life is spread across both the sandy seabed and the surrounding corals, and the site is regularly used for night diving as well as daytime dives.
Conditions at Snapper Alley can include strong current, so divers should be aware of that despite the site's otherwise gentle nature. Water temperature ranges between 22 and 28°C, with the main dive season running from November through April; the site sits in a protected exposure, offering some shelter from open-water conditions.
The site lives up to its name with plentiful snapper, and the broader fish life includes anemonefish, parrotfish, barracuda, bait fish, and rays including manta rays and southern stingrays. Nurse sharks and sea turtles are also seen here.
