Taliarte is a shore dive site on the east coast of Gran Canaria, situated near Playa de Salinettas, and is one of the most beginner-friendly dive sites on the island. The site reaches a maximum depth of around 8 metres over a sandy bottom, making it the go-to location for try dives, scuba courses, and skill refreshers.
The terrain is calm and straightforward, with sheltered, easy-to-access conditions that suit those new to diving or looking for a relaxed, stress-free experience. At depth, a field of gorgonians adds interest to the sandy seabed.
Marine life at Taliarte includes small schools of fish, rays resting on the sand, and seahorses, which are regularly sighted here, though they can disappear from a location for extended periods.
