The Chimney (also known as the Chimneys or the Pinnacles) is an underwater pinnacle dive site at Namena Island, located roughly 23 miles offshore along the south side of Vanua Levu, Fiji. The site consists of several rocky mounts rising from the bottom, with divers able to swim among the mounts and spiral upward around the pinnacles to shallower water, reaching a maximum depth of 20 m. The rocky terrain is densely covered in hard and soft corals, sea fans, sea whips, gorgonians, and soft corals across the entire surface of the underwater hill.
Marine life at the Chimney includes large numbers of small colourful fish concentrated around the pinnacles, with fusiliers, unicorn fish, snapper, and scad commonly present. Larger fish hover in the surrounding water, and the site also sees eagle rays, hammerhead sharks, and garden eels. The best diving season runs November to May.
The site is reached by boat and is rated intermediate difficulty, with medium current and great visibility. The site is protected when current is running. Conditions and the angle of sunlight have a noticeable effect on the experience, with direct sun dramatically illuminating the corals and fish life on the pinnacles.
