USS Apogon is a Balao-class submarine sunk during the 1946 Operation Crossroads nuclear tests at Bikini Atoll in the Marshall Islands, used as a target vessel for the Baker underwater detonation. The wreck sits upright on the lagoon floor. Its hull remains largely intact, and divers who visit Bikini's fleet of test wrecks often combine it with the larger ships like the Saratoga. Access is limited to occasional liveaboard expeditions to Bikini Atoll given its remote location in the central Pacific.
