Boribu is a reef dive site off Zanzibar, reached from Stone Town. Divers go down to as much as 30 metres here, over a reef of column corals and tall coral formations, with large barrel sponges and gorgonian sea fans growing among them. The water is clear.
Lobsters, moray eels and barracuda are regular sightings, and schools of pelagic fish pass the reef. Bluefin tuna have also been seen on the dive, and in the right season a whale shark can turn up.
