Buracona is a volcanic grotto in the north of the island of Sal in Cape Verde, famous for its Blue Eye. A cathedral-like cave at 7 metres creates a play of light and shadow.
The diving cave is arguably the most famous on the island. Divers enter at 28 metres and follow a sump that leads to the cave opening, lit by sunlight, which produces effects that photographers love. The maximum depth is 28 metres, and the dive is meant for divers with cave diving experience.
