Chain Wall lies along Lighthouse Reef, a coral atoll off the coast of Belize near Long Caye, roughly a two-hour boat run from the mainland. The atoll's outer edges drop into wall dives along this eastern side of the barrier system, and this site is rated a beginner dive. Parrotfish are a regular sight on the wall, and divers have also reported angelfish, Atlantic blue tang, barracuda, damselfish, eagle rays, French grunt, squid, triggerfish, wrasse, and stoplight parrotfish, along with coral growth including greater star coral, grooved brain coral, mountainous star coral, and symmetrical brain coral. Napoleon wrasse have also been spotted here. Jellyfish have been noted as a hazard by divers visiting the site.
