Deep Slope is a sloping reef dive site on the northeast side of Malapascua Island in the Philippines, known for its exceptional diversity of macro life and unique topography. A small wall transitions into a sand dune terrain, with sea fans and coral growth on the shallower section giving way to open sandy bottom at depth. The site runs from around 11 m down to 23–25 m, with a sandy bottom at the deeper end.
The terrain's signature feature is the transition from reef to sand dune, where garden eels appear on virtually every dive. Among the sea fans in the shallower section, pygmy seahorses are the standout critter. Moving onto the sandy bottom reveals seahorses, mantis shrimp, anemone shrimp, cowfish, frogfish, and nudibranchs. Flamboyant cuttlefish are spotted at the sandy bottom as well, and during winter months this site ranks among the best spots to find blue-ringed octopus and flamboyant cuttlefish. Ornate ghost pipefish and the occasional green sea turtle are also encountered here. The site is noted for some of the most beautiful corals around Malapascua, including sea fans.
The site is rated for Advanced Open Water Divers, and enriched air nitrox is recommended given the depth, though not essential. Water temperature ranges from 26–30 °C.
