About this site
Far Garden is a reef about 1 km north of Naama Bay at Sharm el Sheikh, and the most seaward of the Gardens. It is a more colourful reef than its neighbours, is visited often by pelagics, and is usually sheltered from wind and waves.
A sandy slope studded with coral pinnacles runs down to about 25 m (82 ft), where it falls away to a steep wall. Toward the corner a cave opens out at 5 m (16 ft) and holds a large school of glassfish.
The headland gets a lot of current, so the site makes a good drift dive in either direction. It is rated at the second diver level.
