About this site
Koala is a reef dive site located south of Eagle Point, reached by a 10-minute banca (outrigger boat) ride from the pier. The terrain features big boulders alongside soft corals, with an average depth of around 18 m (60 ft) and a maximum depth of 24.4 m (80 ft).
The reef holds soft corals, anemones with clownfish, and small reef fish across the site, making it a solid choice for novices looking for an accessible and varied dive. Water temperature ranges from 26–30°C through the main season and drops to 22–28°C between November and June.
Conditions at Koala are generally calm with a medium current, and visibility reaches up to 20 m (65 ft). The site is considered suitable for novice divers and is dived year-round.
