Lemon Rock lies in the Inner Islands of Seychelles, in the waters off La Digue in the western Indian Ocean. Dive sites in this part of the archipelago are typically granite outcrops reached by short boat trips from the island's coastal harbours. Divers here have reported brown land crabs, Peter's tobies, scissortail sergeants, striped surgeonfish, and tawny hermit crabs around the rock.
