Mirror Pond is a dive in the Russell Islands, named for a pond that reflects the jungle overhead.
Outside the pond the reef drops away as a sheer wall, where snappers and travelly hunt and pygmy seahorses hide in the gorgonian fans. The shallows hold a coral garden that is home to crocodile fish, cuttlefish and anemone fish, so the dive covers both the wall and the shallow reef.
