Paradise

Paradise Reef is a shallow coral reef located just in front of the San Miguel cruise ship dock on Cozumel's west side, making it one of the most accessible reefs on the island. With a depth range of 8–12 m (25–40 ft), it is a favourite among beginner divers and is regularly used for first diving lessons.

The reef is home to parrotfish, triggerfish, angelfish, and the Cozumel splendid toadfish, which can be found among anemones and sea fans. Manta rays and seahorses are known to appear in the seagrass at the end of the dive.

A moderate current generally runs from north to south across the site, keeping conditions manageable while supporting good visibility. The same current and shallow depth make Paradise Reef a popular choice for night diving as well as daytime dives.
