The Playground is a shipwreck dive in Bocas del Toro, Panama, less than five minutes by boat from the middle of Caranero, Solarte and Isla Colon. The wreck is nearly unrecognizable, and open to all skill levels.
Depth averages 7 to 14 metres (22 to 45 feet) with a maximum of 22 metres (72 feet). The wreck is a playground for colourful fish, mollusks and nudibranchs among the coral, and bright red sea stars stand out against the white sand.
Stinging cauliflower jellyfish, the largest jellyfish in the Caribbean, are the thing to avoid, so follow your guide. Between April and June a hawksbill sea turtle may pass through. There is a lot of boat traffic, so follow the divemaster's instructions near the surface.
