Laje de Santos is an island and marine park off the coast of Sao Paulo state, Brazil, roughly 35 kilometres from the mainland near Guaruja and Santos. Portinho refers to a specific dive point along this island's rocky shoreline, part of the network of entry points used by boats visiting the marine park. The area is known generally for its offshore rock formations rising from open Atlantic waters, making it a notable destination for divers heading out from the Sao Paulo coast. Divers at Portinho have reported Atlantic sergeant majors, Brazilian damselfish, porkfish, Spanish hogfish, squirrelfish, and tomtate around the rocks.
