Rhoscolyn is a shallow beach dive on Holy Island, Anglesey, with plenty to look at for a beginner-level site over a sand bottom. Two seagrass beds have been recorded here, one near the rock in the middle of the bay and another out towards the far side, so the beds lie out near the rocks.
You enter and exit from the beach, with the entry point to the left of the car park. The site is busy and popular with kayakers and groups in summer, and the car park usually fills by 9:00, so arriving early matters.
Access is along a narrow single-track road with a number of bends. Launching a boat from here is technically possible, but getting a trailer in and out would be a real challenge if you met someone coming the other way with the same idea, so a boat-based group is better off using a bay nearby that is better suited to boats and trailers.
